Convicted murderer Danelo Cavalcante has found himself in an ongoing game of hide and seek with local authorities after escaping from Chester County Prison, where he was serving a life sentence without parole for killing his ex-girlfriend in 2021.

Since first leaving the Pennsylvania penitentiary on Thursday morning, Cavalcante has managed to evade police, hiding everywhere from Longwood Gardens, where he was spotted by security camera footage on Monday evening to one man’s basement, where he briefly shacked up over the weekend.

"What I decided to do was flip the switch three or four or five times, paused, and then he flipped a light switch from downstairs,” homeowner Ryan Drummond told local news outlet 6 ABC of their encounter, which occurred on Friday. “This was the moment of, 'Oh my God this guy is down there.'"

Though fortunately for the homeowner, Cavalcante quickly headed on his not-so-merry way, allegedly grabbing a healthy snack of “peaches, apples, green snap peas” on his way out, he still remains at large.

As authorities keep an eye out for the escaped convict, several social media sleuths have taken it upon themselves to locate the Brazilian national, heading to Twitter and Reddit with the latest info on his possible whereabouts — including as of a few moments ago, a locked portable toilet.

“They about to pull the crowd in,” tweeted @CuriousLuke93x of the manhunt. "I need more cars, 291 Kendall Drive.’ A porta-potty that they can't open.”

Though it’s unclear whether or not authorities will find Cavalcante or the remains of someone’s lunch after busting open the mobile toilet, one thing is certain — everyone is in for a crappy time.
